Dr. David Yan is renowned for his development of novel surgical techniques including the use of anti-angiogenic and anti-fibroblastic agents after glaucoma surgery. As part of the Retinal and Cataract Division at the OCC, he advanced and improved current surgical techniques to implant artificial lenses into eyes with damaged posterior lenses. In addition, he has published several peer-reviewed articles on cataract and glaucoma surgery. Dr. Yan is also an assistant professor at the University Of Toronto Department Of Ophthalmology, where he is the innovator and director of Canada’s first medical specialty training course.
