The retinal research division is located at the Canadian Center for Advanced Eye Therapeutics (CCAET) Mississauga. Our well certified research staff is dedicated to providing the best treatment and care for our patients. The CCAET is at the forefront of discovering new techniques and surgeries for treating the retina.
Our state of art facility has a vast area of over 45,000 square feet with fully equipped on-site operating rooms. We are also the only clinic with the ability to perform the IPE stem cell transplant and expand to retinal implants in the world.
Also, the research team at CCAET and OCC has a wealth of experience in following the regulatory guidelines of its monitoring agencies. We follow strict guidelines and industry regulations including that of the:

Moreover, our Research Team exhibits great skill and initiative in order to deliver high quality research data. In addition to being closely monitored, we work with central and local ethic committees every two weeks.
Also, patient safety is our top priority. As participating in a clinical research study is voluntary, you may choose to stop participating at any time during a study without penalty or loss of any benefits you were entitled to receive. At the same time however, the research doctor or sponsor may remove your participation in the study without your consent.
