OCC is happy to be one of the principal sites for the introduction of new foldable phakic IOL technologies. These foldable aspheric technology lenses are implanted into the eye and are fully reversible avoiding many of the problems associated with other refractive surgery such as LASIK of PRK surgical interventions. By using a micro incision which is normally placed on the steep axis a small foldable contact lens is placed inside of the eye, it is then clipped to the iris and subsequently patients can have considerable restoration of vision within less than twenty-four hours. New advances in these types of technologies include the use of toric implants which can help to correct astigmatism as well.
OCC remains at the forefront and remains committed to implementing new technologies which have been proven and have been efficacious for its patients.
