Ophthalmic Consultant Centres hosted yet another successful Continued Medical Education event for optometrists this fall on October 2nd, 2011. Presented at the OCC office, optometrists were able to experience multi disciplinary facilities and interact with our four sub-specialists: Dr. Ali, Medical Retina, Dr. Armogan, Vitreo-retinal Surgery and Medical Retina, Dr. DeAngelis, Ophthalmic Plastic and Cosmetic Facial Surgery and Dr. Yan, Glaucoma and Cataract Surgery.

The seminar provided by our Ophthalmologists was on cross-disciplinary care in complex cases, which was both informative and relatable to everyday practice. Optometrists were also able to request to participate in a clinical skills session before the lectures which allowed them to interact with patients some of whom under gone surgery at OCC and evaluate their progress. CE accredited with a catered breakfast and finger food lunch, OCC hosts these networking events for optometrist and their continued efforts towards eye care.
